Con una asistencia récord de más de 5,500 personas, este 24 de junio se llevó a cabo la tradicional celebración del Día del Agricultor en las instalaciones de la Asociación de Agricultores del Río Sinaloa Poniente (AARSP), donde Grupo Chávez estuvo presente para acompañar a las y los productores, así como a autoridades estatales y municipales en una jornada llena de reconocimiento, reflexión y fe.
El evento comenzó con una misa en el templo del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, donde los agricultores elevaron plegarias por el inicio de una temporada de lluvias favorables y colocaron ofrendas a los pies de San Isidro Labrador. Posteriormente, en la huerta de la AARSP, se llevó a cabo el convivio en honor a quienes trabajan la tierra, con un ambiente de esperanza, música y unidad.
El secretario de Agricultura y Ganadería del Estado, Ismael Bello Esquivel, destacó que este año el precio físico del maíz ha superado por primera vez al del mercado internacional. Mientras el mercado internacional ofrece 5,300 pesos por tonelada, en Sinaloa se han logrado garantizar precios entre 6,000 y 6,200 pesos gracias al trabajo conjunto del Gobierno del Estado y acopiadores.
Bello Esquivel indicó que la mayoría de los productores ya han logrado vender sus cosechas con ese precio y que el gobernador Rubén Rocha Moya continúa gestionando apoyos adicionales. Además, anunció que este martes viajará a la Ciudad de México para revisar el programa de pagos del ciclo 2024-2025, particularmente en apoyo a los trigueros.
“Hoy celebramos la vocación del campo sinaloense, que es a prueba de todo”, expresó el funcionario, y reconoció que a pesar de la crisis hídrica que afectó al estado, los productores trabajaron con orden y unidad, sin registrar mayores complicaciones en la cosecha.
Por su parte, Teodoro López Menchaca, presidente de la AARSP, subrayó que el Día del Agricultor es una fecha que debe celebrarse, pues representa la lucha diaria de hombres y mujeres del campo. Agradeció los buenos pronósticos de lluvia a partir de esta semana y resaltó que, aunque los rendimientos han sido bajos en general, en algunos casos se alcanzaron hasta 11 toneladas por hectárea, manteniéndose la calidad del grano.
Durante el evento, se contó con la presencia de la Presidenta Municipal Cecilia Ramírez Montoya; el presidente de la CAADES, Jesús Alberto Rojo Plascencia; y productores como Ricardo Armenta. Las autoridades realizaron un recorrido por los stands de maquinaria agrícola y tecnologías del campo instalados para el convivio.
Grupo Chávez reconoce y celebra el esfuerzo del campo sinaloense, reafirmando su compromiso con la cobertura informativa de los temas que fortalecen a la región y a quienes la hacen crecer desde la tierra.
