La humanidad no es monógama por casualidad o decisión propia, en realidad es por falta de tiempo y dinero, así lo asegura un nuevo estudio sobre las relaciones de pareja.
Una teoría explicada por el experto en sexología, Manuel Lucas Matheu, asegura que los animales monógamos lo son pues no tienen tiempo o recursos para la poligamia. Es decir, así como los animales, los humanos en realidad no tienen más parejas pues sus ocupaciones no los dejan relacionarse y comprometerse con los demás. Así mismo, no cuentan con el dinero suficiente para tener más parejas.
Esta teoría se fundamenta en un estudio antropológico que demuestra que solo el 20% de las generaciones a lo largo de la historia han sido monógamas.
Incluso, se asegura que varias parejas deciden no divorciarse pues les faltan recursos para hacerlo. «Los que no somos ricos no podemos ser monógamos secuenciales porque separarse y divorciarse conlleva un enorme daño económico y la poligamia también es muy cara».
